Exterior Renovations

From March 2017 to April 2019 we renovated the whole house. The foundation and frame were solid, so it was worth the effort to upgrade this 1986 build. We began with the exterior and replaced all the old windows, skylights and doors with modern energy efficient high quality units. The old wood siding was removed and replaced with a high quality fire resistant fibre-cement siding. Before the installation of the siding all of the exterior walls were reinforced with 1/2 plywood and a new layer of tar paper installed. This added tremendous shear strength to the frame of the house. The roof, soffits, attic venting and all of the exterior trim were redone completely new, and the house was painted with three coats of a high quality exterior paint. Finally, the driveway was paved and the perimeter concrete sidewalks poured.
